Irresistible patterns …

I can’t resist fabric, today proves it. I bought A LOT. Dress fabrics, furnishing fabrics and scarves. Quite a few pieces still had the retailers labels on – this dress length, which I think may be 1940s, says ‘7/6d’ for three yards.

This beautiful upholstery fabric was sold at ‘Holmes of Reading: The Good Furnishers’ and would look fabulous on a Eames, Day or Race chair.

The green theme continues with a small piece of Michael O’Connoll fabric ‘Syncromesh’ for Heals from 1957.

Two animal-themed prints both for dress fabrics. A kangaroo design by Tootals, and a giraffe design manufacturer unknown.

and the rest…

So a very good day – but now I have to decide which ones I am going to part with…
